Actor-turned-politician Khushboo on monday quit Dravida Munnetra Kazagam (DMK) after she reportedly felt sidelined. In an official press statement Kushboo has said that she has joined the party to service the people and has worked with full pledged dedication. But the party is not recognising it and hence she is quitting the party and she will no more the member of the party.
On Twitter, she posted, "I am not jumping into any other party..so stop assumptions n hold back ur horses friends.. need some time alone with family."
It should be noted that during recent election campaigns, Khushboo had appealed voters in Coimbatore to vote for DMK while speaking in Hindi- a language that DMK staunchly opposes.
Kushboo joined DMK on May 15, 2010 when the party was ruling Tamil Nadu. She had also attended the party thrown by party chief celebrating his 91st birthday
