The Manmadhan star and Kochadaiiyaan director urged fans to keep calm and not create a ruckus over a playful comment by Soundarya Rajinikanth on Simbu’s singing
Kochadaiiyaan may have managed to mint cash at the box office, but the harsh criticism thrown at Kochadaiiyaan may be disconcerting for the director Soundarya Rajinikanth Ashwin. A controversy at this stage would be the last thing Soundarya would have wanted.
The director of Rajinikanth’s latest outing and the daughter of Thalaiva, Soundarya Rajinikanth faced severe flak from Simbu fans when she commented on Simbu’s singing talent. The talented debutant filmmaker had asked Simbu aka STR to stop singing in films. This comment caused a furor among Simbu fans who took on social media to vent their anger. The fight took an ugly turn when fans got into an abusive mode targeting Soundarya Rajinikanth.
Understanding the gravity of things, Simbu made a very mature remark on Twitter and asked his fans to stop abusing Soundarya as everyone has the right to speech. The actor tweeted,” Everyone has their right to comment about anyone. I request fans to stop this abusive approach. Please treat others the same way u treat me.I can see the love you guys have for me, and I respect that. I request you to show the same love towards others as well… Thank you…”.
Soundarya quickly tried to settle the issue by tweeting, “Simbu is one of my dearest childhood friends :) Whatever I said was for fun, and there are no hard feelings between us!!!”
What is really appreciable is Simbu’s level headed approach to the issue instead of indulging in a war of words. Only days ago, we told you how Simbu had sacrificed his film’s shooting with Gautham Menon for Ajith-Gautham Menon film. Looks like the Vanam star has turned a new leaf and is flaunting his mature side for the world to see. What say, yupptibe likers?
